Lower Windrush Tri-Hards

Dr Zo happily offers free triage to the Tri-Hards on a Friday night. We understand the unique culture of the Tri-Hards—the focus on Fun, Fitness, and Friendship. Our goal is to keep you "on a mission" without the setbacks of injury.
Dr Zo can also offer:
-
Club Run & Walk Prep: Assessments to stop shin splints before they stop you.
-
Post-Race Recovery: Sports massage and recovery planning for after the big event.
-
Technique Workshops: Working alongside your run and cycle leaders to ensure safe mechanics.
The "Windrush Wanderer" Hip & Achilles
The Scene: Walking the 2-mile Windrush Path down to the Thames at Newbridge or returning to the walking group after a break.
The Issue: Stubborn Achilles tendonitis or hip bursitis that makes the morning walk to the Post Office & Stores a struggle.
The Physio Fix: We focus on longevity and low-impact loading. Tendons that have "seen some miles" need specific, progressive strengthening, not just rest.

The "Lake-Starter" Shoulder
The Scene: Open water swimming in the Standlake lakes or training for the Oxfordshire Triathlon Series.
The Issue: Rotator cuff impingement. That "catch" in your shoulder as you reach forward in your freestyle stroke.
The Physio Fix: We analyse your thoracic (upper back) mobility and scapular control to ensure your shoulders aren't taking the brunt of every stroke.

The "Village Hall" Back & Core
The Scene: Friday night Strength & Conditioning, Yoga, or Pilates at Standlake Village Hall.
The Issue: Lower back stiffness that flares up during "Jeffing" (run-walk intervals) or after a long day at the desk.
The Physio Fix: We bridge the gap between "core exercises" and real-world movement, ensuring your glute-to-core connection protects your spine during your club runs.

The "Burford Burn" Knee
The Scene: Cycling the undulating lanes from Standlake out toward the Cotswolds.
The Issue: "Grinding" kneecap pain (Patellofemoral Syndrome) caused by mashing high gears at a low cadence on the local inclines.
The Physio Fix: We look at your "Single Leg Dip" stability and hip tracking to ensure your knees aren't paying the price for your power.
