Frequently asked questions
General
An initial physiotherapy assessment with Dr Zo typically lasts 45 to 60 minutes. This allows time for a thorough assessment of your problem, diagnosis, hands-on treatment, and planning your rehabilitation program. Follow-up sessions are usually 45 minutes. Online sessions via Zoom are available and follow the same structure. A free 15 minute phone consultation is also available.
A self-funded initial online physiotherapy session costs £65. Follow-up online sessions are £57. Face-to-face pricing is available on our services page. We also accept patients using BUPA, AXA and Aviva health insurance. A free 15-minute phone consultation is available to discuss your needs before booking.
Wear comfortable clothes, you may be asked to remove some so we can fully assess your problem, however we will only work with what you are comfortable with.
If your problem relates to running injuries, wearing/bringing your normal running shoes is helpful.
If you have had a recent operation/scans please bring any notes/reports with you.
Please bring a list of any current medications you are taking.

Dr Zo The Physio is based at Dr Zo The Physio, Waterside Therapy Rooms, Hardwick, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX29 7QF — on the edge of the Cotswolds. We are conveniently located for patients from Witney, Abingdon, Standlake, Eynsham, Stanton Harcourt and the surrounding Oxfordshire villages. Online appointments are available nationwide.
Dr Zoe Bamber holds a PhD in biomechanics and ankle injury prevention from Loughborough University, an MSc, and an MRes. She is a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has 15 years of clinical experience spanning NHS and private practice, and has lectured doctors and physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Nottingham Medical School.
Clinical Pilates is a form of Pilates prescribed and supervised by a qualified physiotherapist. Unlike gym or studio Pilates, clinical Pilates is individually tailored to your specific injury, movement dysfunction or rehabilitation needs. Dr Zoe Bamber is a qualified Clinical Pilates Instructor who uses it as part of a wider rehabilitation programme to rebuild strength, improve posture, and prevent re-injury.
